Descriptive Text is a text which says what a person or a thing is like.
Generic Structure of Descriptive Text
When writing descriptive text, there are some generic structures (actually not mandatory) for our writing to be true. The arrangement is :
1. Identification
Contains about the introduction of a person, place, animal or object will be described.
2. Description
Contains a description of something such as animal, things, place or person by describing its features, forms, colors, or anything related to what the writer describes.

Purpose of Descriptive Text
To describe a particular person, thing or place.
Language Feature of Descriptive Text
- Specific participant : has a certain object, is not common and unique (only one). for example: Bandengan beach, my house, Borobudur temple, uncle Jim.
- The use of the adjective (an adjective) to clarify the noun, for example: a beautiful beach, a handsome man, the famous place in Jepara, etc.
- The use of simple present tense: The sentence pattern used is simple present because it tells the fact of the object described.
- Action verb: verbs that show an activity (for example, run, sleep, walk, cut etc.)

2. Describing an object
My friend bought me a present I have wanted for years.
It's a Spiderman action figure. (Identification)
They bought the action figure of Tom Hollands Spiderman.
The color of the suit is the combination of red and dark blue.
The size of this action figure is not too big, only 15 cm.
Beside that, we can also unscrew the mask.
It is cool, isnt it?

Bandung is the capital city of West Java Province and located between some big mountain. (Identification)
Not only a big city, Bandung is known as The Capital of Asian-Africa Solidarity.
The title is based on the history when all leaders from Asia and Africa Continent attended Asian African Conference in 1955.
Beside that, Bandung is also known as a tourism destination.
There is so many destination that you can visit.
The famous place thats close to Bandung City is Gunung Tangkuban Perahu and Kawah Putih.

Maudy Ayunda is my favorite artist. She is so beautiful and smart. She has made me fall in love with her since I first saw her on TV. My first time seeing her is when she promotes a beauty product on a TV’s advertisement. Since then, she has played in movies and also become a singer. Her voice is also wonderful. I have liked her song since the first time I heard it. Maudy is also an actress that cares about her education. I hear now she is studying somewhere at foreign university. I hope she will make new movies and songs soon.
